- Order data: Delivery address, order history, payment method (we do not store card or mobile money PINs).
- Store data: Store name, product listings, and business information provided by sellers.
- Usage data: Pages visited, search queries, device type, and IP address.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process and fulfill your orders.
- To send order confirmations and status updates via email.
- To verify your identity and prevent fraud.
- To improve the Platform through aggregated usage analytics.
- To send marketing emails if you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time).
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Sellers: Your name, delivery address, and order details are shared with the relevant seller to fulfill your order.
- Payment processors: PawaPay receives your phone number to initiate mobile money payments.
- Email service: Resend processes email delivery on our behalf.
- Infrastructure: Appwrite provides our backend database and authentication services.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Order records are retained for 7 years for legal and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us — legal retention obligations may apply.
5. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS, secure session cookies, and access controls. We do not store payment credentials. Despite our efforts, no system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.
6. Your Rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data via your profile settings.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
- Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any email.
7. Cookies
We use essential session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not currently use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
